The Audio Transcription feature allows you to upload audio recordings of your board meetings and receive an automatic written transcript in minutes — directly from the DiliTrust Board Portal. This helps you save time, increase efficiency, and generate meeting minutes effortlessly.
? How to Use the Audio Transcription Feature
1. Upload Your Audio File
Navigate to the relevant board meeting. Click on "Add audio to generate meeting transcription".
- You can either drag & drop your file or click Browse to select it.
- Accepted formats: .mp3, .m4a, .wav, .flac
- Maximum file size: 300 MB (about 3 hours of recording)
- Optionally specify the number of speakers for better transcription accuracy.
2. Generate Transcription
After uploading, click "Generate transcription". The process takes a few minutes. You will receive:
- ✅ An in-app notification
- ? An email when your transcript is ready
? Access and Manage Your Transcript
- Once ready, the transcript is available under the meeting details.
- You can download it as a PDF or Word document.
- It includes timestamps and speaker segmentation (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.).
- Click the ? or ? icon to rate the transcript quality and provide feedback (e.g., speaker mislabeling, wrong words).
Note: The original audio file is stored for 3 months before automatic deletion — the transcript remains available.
? Use Transcript for Minute Creation
When creating minutes for a meeting, your transcript appears in a dedicated "Transcription" tab:
- Use it to reference accurate quotes or summaries.
- If multiple audio files are uploaded, toggle between them easily.
- This helps streamline drafting without switching between apps.
⚠️ Troubleshooting & Corner Cases
? Upload Issues
- File exceeds 300 MB: You’ll see an error. Please split the file and upload separately.
- Unsupported file format: Make sure to use one of the accepted formats.
❌ Transcription Fails
You’ll receive:
- ? Email notification with retry instructions
- ? In-app alert that the process failed
You can then delete the failed attempt and try uploading again.
? Tips & Best Practices
- ? Record in a quiet environment for best transcription quality.
- ? Use clear and distinct voices — specify number of speakers if possible.
- ? Trim silences or unrelated segments before upload.
- ? Download your transcript for offline records or legal archiving.
? Pricing and Access
Currently, you have free access to this feature as part of a beta program. In the future, transcription may become a paid feature.
