Setting-up Outlook Add-in

Overview


The DiliTrust Outlook Add-in allows users to access board portal functionalities directly from their Outlook interface. This integration simplifies the management of board-related documents and communications.



Technical Prerequisites


Requirements

  • Deployed DiliTrust instance for your organization

  • Active Office 365 account

  • Administrator rights on the Office Admin console

  • Plugin manifest provided by your DiliTrust Project Manager


Required Permissions

  • Access to the Office Admin interface: https://www.office.com/

  • Permission to deploy add-ins

  • Ability to assign applications to users


Installation Procedure


Step 1: Access the Admin Console

  1. Log in at https://www.office.com/

  2. Click on “Admin”


⚠️ Important: If the “Admin” button is not visible, contact an Office 365 administrator to obtain the necessary rights.

Step 2: Navigate to Add-ins

  1. In the admin console, click on “Settings”

  2. Select “Integrated Apps” from the sidebar

  3. Click the “Add-ins” link



Step 3: Deploy the Add-in

  1. Click on “Deploy Add-in”


  1. If an informational message appears, click “Next”


  1. Select “Centralized Deployment using a file”


  1. Upload the manifest file provided by your DiliTrust Project Manager



Step 4: Configure Users

  1. Select the users who will have access to the add-in

  2. Click “Deploy Now”



Step 5: Finalization

  • Follow the steps suggested by Office to confirm the installation

  • The add-in is now installed and configured




Important Information


Activation Delay


⏱️ It can take up to 24 hours after installation for users to access the DiliTrust add-in in Outlook.

Common Issues


“Admin” Button Not Visible

  • Solution: Check your Office 365 admin rights

  • Action: Contact an administrator for access


Add-in Not Showing in Outlook

  • Check: Wait up to 24 hours after installation

  • Action: Ensure the user is included in the selected deployment group


Manifest File Upload Fails

  • Check: Confirm you received the correct manifest file

  • Action: Contact your DiliTrust Project Manager to obtain the correct one
