What is DiliSign?
DiliSign is the integration layer that connects DiliTrust modules to different e-signature providers. Once a provider is added to DiliSign, it can be used across modules such as CLM, Board/LEM, Litigation and Data Room.
Setup modes by module
- Board / LEM / Litigation / Data Room: Each user connects their own provider from the DiliStore menu.
- CLM:An administrator sets up providers for the whole tenant.
- You can connect up to two providers (e.g., Adobe + DocuSign).
- Only one account per provider is allowed.
- The system uses the provider of the person who launches the signature workflow.
In CLM, a feature flag allows documents sent from CLM to appear in the provider’s own web app (e.g., DocuSign).
Permissions and connector activation
To use e-signature, the right permission must be enabled in your tenant. Connectors are then activated in DiliStore:
- External electronic signatures: Pre-built connectors (DocuSign, Adobe, etc.)
- API electronic signature: Generic connector for external providers
Capabilities by provider
Different providers support different levels of signature:
- DocuSign: Standard, Advanced (SMS), Advanced with ID check, KBA (US-only).
- Adobe Sign: Simple and Advanced signatures.
- Universign: Simple and Advanced (ID picture required). Default policy includes expiry and reminders.
- Yousign: Simple and Advanced.
- HelloSign / Dropbox Sign: Simple and Advanced.
- Signaturit: Standard + Advanced options (OTP/SMS, ID, biometric, liveness).
- Connective (Nitro): SES / AES / QES including OTP, remote hash, smart cards.
- Box Sign: Standard + options (Box login, SMS, password, CAC/PIV depending on plan).
Email customization
- CLM: Email look and feel is managed inside the provider (DocuSign, Adobe, etc.).
- Board / LEM: Subject and body can be set in DiliTrust. With DiliTrust’s internal signature, you can also customize the logo.
Signature blocks and fields
Providers can support fields such as signature, date, initials, text, “read & approved” or stamp. Availability depends on the module’s roadmap. Other options like reminders, cancel flows, or certificate emission depend on the provider.
API and developer resources
- DiliTrust generic API: API documentation
- Provider APIs: Links for DocuSign, Adobe, HelloSign, Yousign, Universign, Connective, Signaturit are available on request.
Legal archiving (GoSign)
Some providers (e.g., InfoCert GoSign) require extra metadata when creating a signature. This is handled with businessData
fields (platform, module, tenant ID, custom fields). These are agreed with the customer and Customer Success.
Changing e-signature provider
- Board / LEM / Litigation / DR: Each user disconnects and reconnects in DiliStore with new provider credentials.
- CLM: The tenant admin updates the connector in DiliStore. Two providers can run in parallel, but only one account per provider is supported.
- External providers: Customers can integrate on their own using the public API connector.
Practical notes
- Universign default policy: Expiry 60 days, reminders every 8 days, up to 5 reminders.
- Provider adoption: Usage varies by module (e.g., DocuSign/Adobe in CLM, Universign/Yousign in Board).
