How to sign a document
When you add a document to the platform, you can request your members or yourself to sign the document. This can be useful for summary sheets or any other legal document.
For you or your members to sign the document, a “DiliTrust” signature must first be attached to your profile.
How to add your signature
To add a signature, click on "See my profile" via the initials or profile icon at the top right of the screen.
Then click on "Edit" and scroll down until you see "Add a signature".
Two options are then available:
- Draw a new signature
- Import a signature
Authorized file extensions for import: png, jpg, jpeg. Files must be less than 10 MB in size.
So how do I sign the document?
To sign a document, go to the documentation center and click on "Smart folders".
You'll find a folder called "Signature pending". To make sure you don't miss any deadlines, next to the folder name you'll find the number of documents awaiting signature.
Through this folder, you can view the documents awaiting signature. Then click on the document that needs to be signed.
The document should open in a new tab or click on the eye symbol icon to open it.
To view the signature progress, click on the signature icon next to the document’s name. You will see “Pending” next to the names of the people who have been requested to sign.
To sign the document, click on the signature icon again, but this time, the one that is next to the bookmark icon.
Your signature will then appear on top of the document. You can position it where needed in the document. Then click on the small little pop-up button labeled “Seal” that appears next to your signature. Your document is now signed.
To ensure the process is complete, click the signature icon next to the document’s name. You should now see a “Complete” status next to your name.
Good to know
This process concerns your DiliTrust signature, the one you manually added to your profile. If you are using an integration (e.g.; DocuSign) to sign documents, please contact your Account Manager about the specific process.
You are also meant to receive notifications within the platform and by email if you wish when a user sends you a signature request. To ensure you receive these notifications, make sure to set up your notification settings accordingly. Read more here.
